Matt Dillon


Matt Dillon, the popular actor, director, and producer from memorable movies such as The Outsiders, There’s Something About Mary, and Crash, which earned him many awards and nominations, has also been a practicing visual artist throughout his career. In recent years he has opened his art to the public to showcase his vast interdisciplinary talent in the visual arts. 

In 2019, he was featured in the group exhibition THINK IN PICTURES curated by Tara Amelchenko in New York, celebrating painting and collage-work which is Dillon’s preferred medium. He was then part of Peter Mendenhall Gallery’s KEITH MAYERSON: FRIENDS AND FAMILY in Pasadena, CA. Dillon visited Brattleboro, Vermont in 2021 to celebrate the first museum to exhibit his artwork. Dillon is one of seventeen artists featured in the Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center’s exhibition entitled EXPEDITION. His work is currently being shown at Ruttkowski;68, the American Folk Art Museum and Vito Schnabel Gallery in NYC, where he has done notable collaborations.
